Living Soil explained: How stable conditions are created
In a Living Soil system, microorganisms, fungi, and beneficial bacteria work together: They break down organic components, make nutrients available to plants, and help maintain a stable substrate. This significantly reduces typical beginner mistakes, such as over-fertilizing or pH corrections.
Result: more even growth, less stress for the plant, strong roots and abundant harvests – without synthetic additives .
Two-part system – simple, logical, effective
Wizzy's Magic Soil is a two-part Living Soil Mix that you combine with fresh or reused soil:
- Bag 1 (Basic Mix): organic nutrients, soil amendments & microorganisms to activate the soil.
- Sachet 2 (Root & Micro-Life): Endo-Mycorrhiza, Trichoderma, root bacteria, algae extract & Fulvin for a strong start.
📖 Quick guide (in 4 steps)
- Prepare the exhaust silencer
Fill the pot approximately 2/3 full with soil (new or used). Mix in bag 1 evenly and moisten (damp, not dripping wet).
- Activate
Allow the mixture to rest for 2-3 weeks so that the Living Soil microlife can become fully active.
- Prepare seed-starting mix
Mix bag 2 with potting soil/light mix. Fill a 1 L seedling pot (e.g. Roothus) and insert seeds/cuttings.
- Transplanting
After 2-3 weeks (pot well rooted), place in the final pot, fill with soil, press down lightly and water thoroughly.
💧 Watering in Living Soil (so that it really works)
- Use the weight of the pot as an indicator (instead of finger test or measuring devices).
- For each watering, water approximately ¼–⅓ of the soil volume until some water comes out at the bottom.
- Pour evenly over the entire surface.
- Water severely dried-out soil in stages ; remove any remaining water after a maximum of 30 minutes.
- Tip: For pots larger than 30 L, adjust the amount of watering individually.
